What I think the BFG looks like!

The BFG lives in an old deserted village that’s now a cave. He’s very tall & thin with rusty, yellow nails growing on his bare feet & hands. He wears years of old green overalls that go down to his feet with rips everywhere but wears a brown shirt inside. Dusty skin with green bumps & bubbles growing on his ears, great wide blue eyes with poisonous & smelly lips. White hair but brown from the dust & dirt with a fringe with a grey beard from one ear to the other.

Touch! 2019!

Our touch team had the best time out of school at the Marist Rugby Club fields having a touch tournament. We played a total of 6 games and won them all. At the end of the day we humbly came 1st place, we couldn't have did this without our coach Mr.Daniels!

My Expectations!

These are my expectations fro the rest of the year. I strive to achieve all these before i leave GTS because this is very important for my learning too.

AUT Millennium

Room 9 and a few lucky senior students got to go on a trip to the AUT Millennium. It was one of my highlights for the year because I had hella fun and had a great experience. The activities were kayaking, water safety, rock climbing and athletics. I hope to go there again one more time.

FUN RUN! Term 3

Fun was cool and very tiring for most people. A lot of us took it easy and just chilled and some wanted the win because if you placed 1st then you could go to rebels to get yourself a new pair of shoes for free. After wards we had a sausage and water then we had a game of touch against G.I primary school. A lot of them were good but Glen Taylor still came out with the dub. Fun run is something most people dislike but I'm sure we all enjoyed it.

Positive Puberty!

The middle and senior syndicates spent a whole day learning about puberty. We learnt what age our bodies start to grow and what age our bodies stop growing. We also learnt about our body parts and what they do. I surely enjoyed that day and the activities we had.

Science 2019!

Our science work and experiences were extraordinary and creative. First we learnt about the States Of Matter (solid, liquid and gas). We were all put into groups of 4-6 and we had to make a science experiment and design our own tri-folds to match our experiments. My group made rock candy. It took days for it to grow on the stick. Our experiment was edible too. We all worked hard to produce an outstanding piece of work that stood out.

Our Planets!

This is part of the science work for our science exhibition. I've wrote down heaps of information about our solar system, space and more facts about space. This is just a tiny bit of the science work for this term and next term.

RIPPA RUGBY!

Room 11 had lots of fun playing rippa with Hamish (Kiwi Sports Teacher). We did drills about passing, ripping and played rippa games. We all love to play rippa, it's good excersise and it's like playing union but rips. Big thank you to Hamish for sacrificing his time to come teach and play rippa with Room 11.

Siaosi's Site

I created my very own site. The site is based about our year 7&8 camp at Kawau Island 2019. I've loaded the site with heaps of information about Kawau Islands history, the Kawau Dieback, and more useful information about Camp Bentzon. There's also a slide with the photos of our camp at Kawau Island. Hope you enjoy my site!

FIEFIA DAY! Year 7&8!

The year 7&8 students had a seki day performing their items/chants to our awesome middle and junior school. We all performed a dance using 1-3 songs then performed our very own chant. The groups were orange wolves (my group), purple jaguars, yellow panthers, green reindeer's, blue stingrays and red dragons. Every group tried there very best to persuade the 3 unknown judges that they were the group that deserve to win. We all hyped each other and had a great memories that we'll remember in the future.

Art Exhibition - FAN

Glen Taylor School had an Art Exhibition. Everyone had to come up with something to create that relates back to their culture. I tried to be very creative and make a squared fan, with different decorations on it!

CHANGING GTS!!

Changing GTS
TOP SENTENCE
I’d like to develop a better, more usable, and attractive field so every student can have extra
space to play their games/sports plus enjoy being active.

SUPPORTING SENTENCE 1
The fields at the moment aren’t very tempting,
because there are no objects but two soccer goals.
I wish to change that by adding new and amusing items so everyone has something active to do instead of sitting under trees.

SUPPORTING SENTENCE 2
The first structure I’d like to add would be rugby posts on each side of a field. Rugby posts will increase the number of students coming to the field, because they can practice their conversion kicks plus you can make the the bottom of a rugby post a soccer post!

SUPPORTING SENTENCE 3
Second, making the fields larger will give others a chance to play sports that need high amounts of space; e.g. cricket, and hockey. It also means that you can fit more sport structures and physical objects. My last thought is putting in Sport gears with our names on so if sports gear gets lost, we’ll know who did it or who’s it is.

CONCLUSION
That’s all I’d wanna change about Glen Taylor School’s fields. It’s not too expensive and not too cheap.

My BIO Poem! 2019!!

This poem explains who I am, what I like to do, and what I'm about. HAPPY 2019!
